Otto Scharmer
Otto Scharmer is a Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management and the founder of the Presencing Institute. He is the originator of Theory U, a framework for learning and leading from the emerging future, developed through interviews with more than 150 leaders and innovators across business, science, and technology. His work forms the intellectual foundation of U-Path. Scharmer's research focuses on the inner conditions that shape leadership, the quality of listening that determines organizational outcomes, and the social soil practices required for deep transformation. His latest book introduces seven practices for transforming self, society, and business. He grew up on a biodynamic farm in northern Germany, an experience that directly shaped his thinking about what cultivates growth in human systems.
